How to Activate LTE TDD Band 40 BOLT and Smartfren on Lenovo A7000

Lenovo A7000 is a smartphone that support LTE FDD band 1,3,7,20 and LTE TDD band 40. so that this smartphone works with all operarors LTE Networks in Indonesia. Indonesia has three mobile operators work with LTE FDD Band 1,3,7,20 dan two operators work with TDD Band 40.
The mobile Operators work with LTE FDD Band 1,3,7,20 are Telkomsel, XL and Indosat. The mobile operators work with TDD Band 40 are Bolt and SMRTFREN. The Using of frecuency Band LTE depending by Government regulation KEMKOMINFO.
In default setting on Lenovo A7000 smartphone, the LTE Band 40 was disable. so that we must be enable it manually. you can following the steps by read my previous article How to Enable GSM WCDMA LTE Bands On Mediatek Smartphone
Note : In Some countries LTE is not supported. To know if your smartphone works with LTE Networks in your country, contact your carrier.

There is a bug on Lenovo A7000 after upgraded to Marshmallow. The bug is decrease quality of sound output through speaker and headset being too low even the sound volume does in the fully setting.

How to Lock LTE Only Mode on Android Smartphone

We not be able to set up "LTE Only" mode at default network setting. All android smartphone that supports LTE networks have no option LTE Only mode. The reason is because the LTE network does not yet support outgoing call and incoming call even not be able to make USSD call. It is using for mobile data only.
LTE Only mode needed where the LTE signal is weak. So that we always be able to get the LTE network and it does not move the network. If we using LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto mode, the device will always choosing the strongest network. Its always move the networks.
Here I will share tips on how to lock LTE Only Network ?

There are 2 ways depending on the device support :
1. For Mediatek smartphone that supports Engineering Mode
a. Download MTK Engineer App v1.0 is already available on Google Play Store
b. Launch Application MTK Engineer App
c. Select "MTK Engineer App" on the menu and then Choose “Network selecting ” on The telephony tab
d. Choose your preferred Network "LTE Only" or you can use the Dual mode 4G / 3G.
2. For non Mediatek
a. Download Application MTK Engineer App is already available on Google Play Store
b. Launch Application MTK Egineer App
c. Select android testing
d. Select Phone Information
e. on the Section "set Preferred Network Type" select LTE Only network or you select the mode you need .

The mediatek Smartphone commonly has an app system built in. it is EngineerMode. it was hidden and we must type any secret code to access it. but if we difficult to remember it. There is an App to access it. It is MTK Engineer App available on Google Play.
Now. i will share to you one of all feature from MTK Engineer Mode. it is how to setting enable and disable GSM ( 2G ) WCDMA/UMTS ( 3G ) and LTE ( 4G) band frecuency on Android mtk smartphone.

2. Run the MTK Engineer App.
3. Choose / tap first menu "MTK Engineer App"

5. and then choose SIM Select example SIM 1 as mobile data connection default
6. There are GSM Mode, UMTS Mode, LTE Band Mode. Tick to enable and untick for disable.
we can enable all band that support of the smartphone and mobile carrier. Not all smartphone support all band. its only can be enable that support of a smartphone and mobile operator.
